We are thrilled to welcome Chef Raymond Tham, chef-owner and visionary behind Beta KL (one Michelin-starred and Asia’s 50 Best Discovery) for an exclusive collaboration with Chef Marvas Ng of Path.
Acclaimed for his visionary work at Beta KL, Chef Raymond has refined his craft through years in Europe’s finest kitchens. With a profound respect for Malaysia’s culinary heritage, he seamlessly weaves traditional flavours with contemporary techniques, creating dishes that are both nostalgic and avant-garde. Together, both chefs will present their shared philosophy of blending heritage with innovation, offering guests a refined exploration of flavours, reimagined through modern artistry.

An Affair of Eight Hands

Path Restaurant is proud to be part of An Affair of Eight Hands – a fun and playful interpretation, and expansion of a classic four hands dinner. Thus evening features the creative creations of artist Yanyun Chen, along with our Head Chef Marvas Ng of Michelin-Selected, Path and Chef Jack Allibone of members club, Mandala. Going beyond the chefs four hands, thus occasion involves “eight” – including the artist’s hands, and the diners’s own hands which complete the experience. This dining experience encourages guests to engage with their food using hands, a motif reflected in Yanyun’s interest in gestures of communication, conversation and craft. This special affair brings into focus the hands and hand gestures integral to the kitchen – the hands of both chefs, kitchen and service staff – now rendered on custom-made napkins, table cloths and table runners, underscoring the tactile journey of dining, and the unseen hands that prepare the food we eat.
